SYRIZA spoke of a “crescendo of arrogance, intemperance and shifting of responsibilities” on the occasion of Adonis Georgiadis’s statements about Tempi.
The ruling opposition party lashed out at the Minister of Public Works, stating in a strong tone that “they respect the pain of the relatives of the victims.”
SYRIZA’s announcement
“After Mr. Mitsotakis brazenly described the tragic loss of 57 people in Tempi as a ‘sacrifice’, today Mr. Georgiadis discovered that the accident is an ‘opportunity’ for the government to ‘clash with the deep state’.
Under normal circumstances, we would explain to the intemperate Mr. Georgiadis that the “deep state” was set up by themselves 40 years ago and inflated for 4 years by Mr. Mitsotakis who rules with bribery, meritocracy and the oldest party. methods, with which he recalled after the tragedy supposedly to collide. But we are not in normal circumstances when we have unjustly lost 57 human lives.
We would at least hope that Mr. Mitsotakis and his ministers, despite the crescendo of arrogance, intemperance and blame-shifting, would at least respect the pain of the families of the victims. A little shame wouldn’t hurt.”
