Atromitos beat Ionikos 2-0 at the Peristeri Municipal Stadium, within the framework of the 1st day of the Super League playoffs.
Agibu Kamara opened the scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute of the game, while Erlingmark sealed the win in the 90th minute.
The Nice team could have wanted the game more in their attempt to stay in the division, however, they failed to do so and thus remain in the danger zone.
The image of the fight.
At 19 minutes into the game and having already counted a lost opportunity at 4′ with Klonaridis, Atromitos opened the scoring when Kamara scored from close range and made it 1-0. The locals had two more chances to increase the score (at 30′ with Robaille and at 33′ with González), but without success.
In the replay, Ionikos pressed high and went for the equalizing goal, but Gianniotis had… lowered the rolls. Despite Nicaea’s successive wasted chances, however, Atromitos was the one who smiled, since in minute 90 he “closed” the “three points” with Erlingmark, who headed in after a corner to make it 2-0 final.
